The other day we were talking about the differences between “lose” and “miss”. I hope this post will help you all refresh your memory!

1. Use lose with objects and sport games.

“Oh no! I lost my keys!” or “Barcelona lost 3-0 against Real Madrid in the semifinal”

     2. Use miss with means of transport (flights, train, buses, etc.), with events and opportunities and to talk about feeling sad when we don’t see someone.

“I missed the 7am train ‘cause I was sleeping” or “You missed a great English class yesterday!” or “My brother is living in Australia right now, and I miss him a lot”
